Frequently Asked Questions

Will Explorer increase my workload a lot?

Explorer is a serious commitment—you are doing university-level work. But it's designed to be manageable alongside school, with support built in through the Academic Studio. You'll need to be organized and motivated, but you are not expected to stop your normal life. Most students find the investment worthwhile for the head start they gain.

Does completing Explorer guarantee admission to a university?

No. Admission decisions always depend on each university's criteria. However, completing real university courses—especially from the same institution—can significantly strengthen your profile. You demonstrate that you can succeed at university level, which is valuable evidence for admissions committees.

Can I use the credits at universities other than the partner?

Often yes, but it depends on each institution's transfer credit policies. The credits are official university credits, so they can typically be considered for transfer or exemption—but final recognition is always decided by each university you apply to. Many institutions recognize credit from accredited partner universities.

What happens if I don't pass a course?

You'll still have learned a lot about university expectations. Whether the attempt appears on an official record and how it's treated will follow the partner university's normal policies. Explorer and your school will guide you carefully so you only take on what's realistic, and the Academic Studio provides support throughout.

How much does the program cost?

There is a program fee for Explorer, separate from school fees. Your school and Explorer will share detailed pricing and payment schedules with your family during the application process. Fees vary by region and course load. We aim to make the program accessible while ensuring high-quality delivery.

Is there a cost to partner schools?

Generally, no direct cost to the school itself. Program fees are paid by participating families directly to Explorer. Schools provide timetabling, classroom space, and a local coordinator. This keeps school financial operations simple while still offering a powerful new program.

How are students selected for the program?

Selection is done jointly by the school and Explorer based on agreed criteria—typically academic performance (especially in relevant subjects), English language proficiency, and motivation. We aim for students who are genuinely prepared for university-level work and will benefit most from the program.

What curricula does Explorer work with?

Explorer works with major national curricula in South Asia (CBSE, ISC, state boards, HSSC, HSC) and Southeast Asia (Senior High strands in Philippines, SMA streams in Indonesia, national curricula in Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia), as well as selected international schools using compatible curricula.
