Partner with Explorer to provide real university credit without changing your curriculum. A flagship academic offering that differentiates you in a competitive market. Think of it as: "Earn real university credit before graduating Grade 12."

Explorer Partner School

How Explorer Works in Your School

Students stay in their normal classes. Explorer is added on top, in a structured way, without replacing your existing curriculum.

Students Stay Enrolled

Your students continue their regular Grade 11-12 subjects, your existing timetable, and all assessments. Explorer complements—never replaces.

  • All board/national curriculum requirements maintained
  • No displacement of core subjects
Explorer Classes Added

We work with your leadership/counselors to add Explorer periods into the timetable (or after school) where our faculty teach university courses.

  • 2-4 Explorer sessions per week
  • On-campus or blended online format
University Credit Awarded

Students are enrolled in the partner university's course codes (dual-enrolled). On success, the university issues official credit and a transcript.

  • Recognized for advanced standing
  • Transferable to other institutions

What Students & Parents Gain (From Your School's Perspective)

Your Students Will:

  • Earn university credit while in school—official transcript, not just a certificate
  • Explore multiple disciplines (business, economics, computing, etc.) before committing to a degree
  • Learn how university courses are taught, assessed, and graded—before landing on campus abroad
  • Potentially shorten their degree or create space for double majors, co-ops, or exchanges

Parents See:

  • Increased return on investment in school fees—students leave with credit in hand
  • Reduced anxiety about sending students abroad—they have already proven themselves in real university courses
  • Concrete evidence their child can handle university-level work
  • Potential cost savings on university tuition through advanced standing

Your Role as a Partner School

You Provide:

  • A designated Explorer Coordinator (e.g., counselor, senior teacher)
  • Access to classrooms, projector/board, computer lab (where required)
  • Student academic timetables and exam calendars for scheduling
  • Basic logistical support (room allocations, communication to parents)
  • Help with student selection based on agreed criteria

Explorer Provides:

  • University partnerships & dual-enrollment arrangements
  • Qualified faculty and teaching assistants
  • Course content and teaching materials aligned with the university
  • Student progress tracking and regular reports for school counselors
  • Certificates and documentation for students on completion
  • Professional development opportunities for your teachers

Fee payments for the program are handled directly between families and Explorer (or through the agreed central mechanism), keeping school financial operations simple.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this replace any existing subjects?

No. Students remain fully enrolled in your curriculum. Explorer classes are scheduled within or adjacent to your timetable, as agreed, without displacing core board requirements.

Who teaches the Explorer classes?

Explorer-appointed faculty and teaching assistants, approved under criteria agreed with partner universities. Your teachers are welcome to observe, collaborate, or co-support.

Do students get guaranteed admission to the partner university?

Admission decisions remain fully with each university. However, Explorer students hold actual completed courses and credit from that university, which can significantly strengthen their applications.

Is there a cost to the school?

Generally, no. Program fees are paid by participating families directly to Explorer; schools provide timetabling and space, plus a local coordinator. There are no fees charged to the school itself.

What if a student doesn't pass a course?

The partner university's normal policies apply. Students will still have learned a lot about university expectations. Explorer and your school will guide students carefully so they only take on what's realistic.

How are students selected?

Jointly by the school and Explorer, based on agreed criteria: typically academic performance, English language proficiency, and motivation. We aim for students who are genuinely prepared for university-level work.
